‘Appendix’ is a growing list of ephemera crafted as pamphlets or small artist books that attempt a redefinition of terms understood and utilized through the syntax/semantics of coloniality. Appendix is a tactile, inexhaustible afterword, a glossary (Christina Sharpe writes about the Dictionary of Untranslatable Blackness) whose aim is to ‘underwrite’, rewrite or overwrite the colonial script through text, gesture, silence, and line – through Black presence. Appendix is conceived as a collaborative space, since the labor of reversal and prefiguration can only be done together.
